Illinois Public Aid Podiatry Coverage

As a result of the law passed by the Illinois government in June, Illinois Public Aid will restore coverage for podiatric services effective October 1, 2014. This change will revert podiatry benefits to their form prior to the 2012 reduction. The restrictions on non-diabetic adult patients will no longer apply, allowing podiatrists to once again receive payments for services to the bulk of Public Aid patients. Coverage limitations due to spend down amounts and other eligibility criteria will still apply.
